Alternate Knees
Again the benefit is coordination. The exercise is a version of exercise number one where you draw the knees to the chest.  However the challenge to keep the legs passive, as you peel the spine of the ground drawing the knees alternatively to the shoulders, is intensified.  The benefit is the precision developed by operating one side of the abdomen as you contract and pacifying the other side of the abdomen as you extend.
